Manhattan supplies in-line elution plants that are inter-connected to the leaching circuit or batch processing plants where carbon is removed into bulk bags or drums, and loaded into the elution plant.
Plant capacity varies and is specified to suit the carbon removal strategy. This is typically based on the heard grade, recovery, tonnes per hour plant capacity and the strategic requirement of the plant based on what grade the carbon requires to be removed.
Batch processing plants can vary in size from 300 kg to 1 ton processing plants.
Manhattan offers the standard Zadra pressurized column, the Anglo American Research Lab (AARL) precipitation design, or a methanol based circuit. Methanol circuits assist in removal of some oils and mercury, allowing for a partial regeneration of the carbon prior to re-introducing it into the plant circuit.
In addition to elution, acid wash and carbon regeneration circuits are provided, to maintain a healthy carbon activity.
